Why dwnldr exists

Every tool that saves an X video gives you the same thing: a bare MP4. The clip survives; the post dies. Who said it, what they said, the moment around it: gone.

Tweet-to-image tools solved this years ago for text and photos. Nobody solved it for video. dwnldr renders the whole post (avatar, text, layout) as a crisp card, with the actual video playing inside it and the audio intact. What you share carries its own context.

Along the way it grew the boring-but-useful parts too: originals from TikTok, Instagram and Reddit, one Shortcut for everything, and files that actually play on an iPhone.
