Save Bluesky videos, or card them
Original upload quality, not the compressed playback stream.
Bluesky serves playback as a compressed stream capped around 720p. dwnldr fetches the original uploaded file instead, so what you save is what the author uploaded. Share a post from the Bluesky app, tap dwnldr, done.
Video posts also offer a rendered card: the post in Bluesky's own look, with the real video playing inside it. Photo and text posts become image cards.

How it works
- Get access and add the dwnldr Shortcut. It is free while in beta.
- Tap share on a post and pick dwnldr in the share sheet.
- Seconds later the result is in your Photos, ready to post anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
What quality do I get?
The original uploaded file whenever it is available, which is usually better than the 720p playback stream Bluesky shows in the app.
Can it make cards like the X ones?
Yes. Bluesky posts render as screenshot-style cards in Bluesky's own colors, with replies, reposts, quotes and likes.
Do I need a Bluesky account?
No. Public posts work as is.
What do I need?
An iPhone, iPad or Mac with the Shortcuts app, and a free beta invite from dwnldr.app.
